Weekly compliance testing

Weekly commercial fire alarm testing is a legal requirement, as governed by the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRO) and BS 5839-6: 2019 standards. Our qualified and experienced technicians will ensure full ongoing compliance by carrying out a weekly check using  a different manual call point every week. As required by law we’ll keep a record of all results in a log book, including call point locations, and take immediate remedial action if needed.

Fire alarm servicing

Fire alarm servicing is an additional process to weekly fire alarm testing, and both are required in order for your company to remain compliant with current legislation. It is advised that commercial fire alarm systems are inspected by a competent person at least every 6 months (and if you are operating out of larger premises, this should be carried out quarterly.)

Why is commercial fire alarm testing so important?

Regular testing of fire alarm systems is a legal requirement for building owners. Non-compliance with these legal requirements comes with a range of risks and unlimited fines. Let us save you money, and ensure that your business is fire safe.

Commercial fire alarm testing is also vital in order to keep your systems fit for purpose and maintain a safe and secure environment. Keeping your fire alarm in working order will mean that occupants are alerted in the event of fire, potentially preventing injury or loss of life. By ensuring that your fire alarm is working as it should, regular testing can also prevent false alarms, wasted company time and unnecessary call-outs to the emergency services.
